"WarKings, M.D.W.S."

Turn-Based-Tactics CRPG combat; gridless movement, and trajectory based abilities, with radius checks for impacts.

The gameplay is inspired by the amazing BG3 CRPG combat mechanics, on top of something like Advanced Wars.

We've designed a new turn system that blends the two really well in an fantastic match experience. Each round you manage your army and resources in a management phase, and then micro-manage your units in the combat phase.

WarKings will have 2 game modes:

- The main one is "War Scenarios"; 1-4p Coop PvE. You and your allies wage a campaign with objectives against an enemy faction. Each time the world and objectives are different. Maps are a blend of authored and procedurally generated elements.

- Second game mode is "Battles": 2-4 players PvP. Classic battles between factions. When the goal is to be the last faction standing.

All game modes can be played Online. And/or you can add RoboPlayers to any game mode to fill player seats.


WarKings is planned to first release in Early Access on PC. ETA Q4 2026.

Roadmap

WarKings is in the late stages of Pre-Production.

A first Gameplay Demo have been completed, I'm planning a second one, as I have some really cool ideas I'm going to try out and see if I can make them work. Then we'll move to full on production!

In WarKings we plan to have land, air, and water units, as well as various factions; the first gameplay demo only has some Land and Air units from "The Merc Army" faction.

In M.D.W.S., the M stands for Mercenary King. The Kings and their Generals are planned to play a big role in the game.
